Undergraduate Research Assistants

The Child Study Center is no longer recruiting URAs for the 2025 - 2026 school year.

Why You Should Join Us

Research Experience

All URAs will receive training in working with qualitative data. URAs also have the opportunity to work on independent projects to present at conferences.

Community Clinic

URAs will become familiar with the operations of a community clinic and work on an interdisciplinary, collaborative team.

Clinical Experience

All URAs will receive exposure to administration and scoring of psychological assessments through trainings and shadowing opportunities.

Graduate School

URAs will gain a better understanding of pursuing graduate school and have the opportunity for professional development.

What We Look For

  • Currently a second semester freshman - junior

​

  • Interested in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or social work research 

​

  • 2 semester (minimum) commitment 

    • Many students sign up for 2-3 course credits through the psychology department. This equates to about 6-9 hours a week for a total of 96 hours for the semester.

  • Prior experience working with kids (preferred)
