Community Advisory Boards
Virginia Tech’s Child Study Center is recruiting middle school students in Southwest Virginia communities to serve on our Youth Advisory Board (IRB#24-098)!
The Board is being created to elevate youth voices and contribute to Child Study Center programming, including helping develop online mental health resources for teens. ​
​
Across 2 years, Advisory Board Members will receive training in communication skills and mental health knowledge. Members will receive $25 per hour for participation in training and meetings (about $200 per year). ​

BUDDY Study
The Teen Lab affiliated with the Child Study Center at Virginia Tech is recruiting parents, their teens and their friend to participate in a study to understand how social experiences impact substance use in teens with ADHD.

This study has a hybrid option for sessions with teens earning up to $120 and parents earning up to $35.

Decision-Making Study
The Scan Lab at Virginia Tech is recruiting individuals 18+ to study decision-making and how stress, moods, and mindfulness are influencers.
​​
Participants will complete surveys and play games in a 1.5 hour in-person lab visit. ​
